DHAKA: A deaf person was killed as a train knocked him down from behind in city’s Karwan Bazar Rail Crossing area on Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Kazi Abdul Kuddus 65, resident of city’s Siddheshwari area.

The victim’s son Sami Hasan said that a train hit his father at around 2:00pm while he was going for shopping at Karwan Bazar, leaving him injured critically.

He was rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.
