DHAKA: Custom officials seized 120 gold bars weighing around 14 kilograms from a flight of Regent Airways landed at Shahjalal International Airport on Wednesday morning.
Assistant Commissioner of airport customs, Ferdous Arefin, told banglanews that acting on a tip off, a team of custom intelligence conducted search in the flight of Regent Airways coming from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia recovered the huge gold bars.
The gold bars worth about TK 6 crore were found in the toilet of the flight, he added.
In another incident, a person was held with 10 gold bars by National Security of Intelligence (NSI) on Tuesday evening.
