DHAKA: The visiting foreign secretary of India Sujatha Singh had a meeting with foreign minister AHA Mahmood Ali on Wednesday.
The hour-long meeting started at around 11:30am at the foreign ministry.
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pankaj Saran was present in the meeting.
Ministry sources said Bangladesh queried the Indian foreign secretary about the progress of Teesta deal implementation.
In reply, Sujatha Singh said Indian government is sincere about the matter. The issue will be placed in the winter session of the Indian parliament.
Besides, they also discussed the progress of different deal signed with India during Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s tour.
Bangladesh Foreign secretary Md Shaheedul Haque also was present in the meeting.
Earlier in the morning, Sujatha Singh arrived in Dhaka Wednesday on a two-day long visit.
