DHAKA: The speedy trial tribunal-4 will pronounce the verdict in much-talked-about tailor man Biswajit murder case against 21 Chhatra League activists on December 18.
Tribunal-4 judge ABM Nizamul Haque fixed the date of pronouncing verdict on Wednesday after completion of a six-day long argument in the case.
Regarding the matter, Public Prosecutor (PP) Rafiqul Islam told banglanews that the prosecution had proved allegations of killing Biswajit against the accused.
Eight detained accused were produced before the court during the day’s proceedings.
The accused are Rafiqul Islam Shakil, Mahfuzur Rahman Nahid, Emdadul Haque Emdad, GM Rasheduzzaman Shaon, AHM Kibria, Saiful Islam, Quaiyum Mia and Golam Mostofa.
Of them, Shakil, Nahid, Shaon and Emdad gave confessional statements before the court earlier.
Besides, eight of the accused is still fugitive.
On March 5, Detective Branch of Police submitted the charge sheet against the 21 accused.
Tailoring shop employee Biswajit Das who was chopped to death by the BCL workers near the Bahadur Shah Park in the old city during the opposition’s countrywide blockade programme on December 9 last year.
