GAZIPUR: A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife at Jahangirpur village under Sreepur Upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Aktar Hossain, 35, and his wife Mafia Aktar, 32.

Local sources said that Aktar Hossain killed his wife after altercation over family crisis.

Later, he committed suicide by hanging himself at around 11:00am.

Sreepur Thana Officer-in-Charge Amir Hossain told banglanews, “Police forces were sent to the spot to recover the bodies.”
