Taranco meets civil society

DHAKA: Oscar Fernández Taranco, UN assistant secretary general for political affairs, held a one and half hour long meeting with civil society leaders on Sunday.

He met the civil society representatives at city hotel after scheduled meeting with Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad and Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed.

Dr Kamal Hossain, Shahdin Malik, Badiul Alam Majumder and Jamilur Reza Chowdhury were among others present at the meeting.
