Petrol bomb attack in sylhet rail station

SYLHET: Two booking clerks were injured and machineries were destroyed as blockade-hartal supporters threw petrol bombs aiming the ticket counters of Sylhet railway station on Sunday night.

The injured were identified as booking assistant Abdul Jalil and Shafiqul Islam.

Station master Abul Kalam Azad told banglanews, “A gang of miscreants attacked the railway station at around 10:00pm Sunday with petrol bombs, leaving two booking assistants of a counter injured and fled the scene.”

He added: “Fire from the petrol bombs burnt some furniture and counter lock.”
