Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted light to moderate rain likely to occur at most places across the country in the next 24 hours commencing 9am today (October 3).
According to the met office bulletin, light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it said.
Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 35.0 degree Celsius at Chandpur and minimum temperature recorded today 24.0 degree Celsius at Bandarban.
Country's highest rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 68 millimeters (mm) at Teknaf.
The Well-marked low over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining area now lies over East Madhya Pradesh and adjoining area as a low pressure area. The axis of monsoon trough runs through East Uttar Pradesh, central of the low, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh. Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate over North Bay.
