Action will be taken according to the law if anyone tries to carry out sabotage by taking advantage of the political situation, said Director of RAB's Legal and Media Wing, Commander Khandaker Al Moin.
He told reporters at a press conference organized at Karwan Bazar RAB Media Center on Wednesday (October 25) noon.
Khandaker Al Moin said RAB will strengthen the checkposts at the entrances of Dhaka on October 28, so that no one can enter Dhaka with firearms or explosives for sabotage. Similarly, RAB will set up checkposts at important places in Dhaka and conduct searches.
Several political parties have sought permission to hold a rally on October 28. Permission is under the jurisdiction of the DMP. The core mandate of the elite force RAB is to provide security to the public, as well as protect state assets, he said
He also said that patrolling has been strengthened on the highways including the capital due to the rally.
In response to a question about Jamaat-e-Islami's rally, he said that the DMP will see whether the rally will be allowed or not. Action will be taken if permission is not granted and Jamaat tries to organize or sabotage.
