Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Additional Commissioner (AC) (Crime and Operations) Dr Kh Mahid Uddin said that BNP must hold a rally on October 28 where permission is given. 

He said this in response to a question while talking to reporters at his office on Wednesday (October 25).

Regarding BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s recent remark ‘BNP will hold rally in Nayapaltan even if police doesn’t give permission,’ Mohid Uddin said, “I have no comment on anyone's statement. BNP must hold rally where permission is given.”

The police official urged all political parties to follow the conditions stated in the legal framework.

At this time, he requested the parties to act responsibly on behalf of the DMP.

When asked regarding the permission of Jamaat rally, he said, they have submitted an application. The High Court has observations about this party. Political party like Jamaat will not be allowed in places like Shapla Chatwar.
