The National Identity Card (NID) services will remain down from Thursday 5 pm to next 64 hour due to maintenance purposes.

Election Commission's System Analyst Mamunur Hossain confirmed the matter on Wednesday (October 25).

He said the service will remain closed until October 28 night starting from October 26 5pm as all equipment including servers, networking devices, storage will be shifted to the main room.

Earlier, the NID server was down for approximately 24 hours on September 19.
