The prime accused of police constable Amirul Islam Pervez murder case has been arrested from Golachipa in Patuakhali.

He was arrested from Kalagachia union bazar area under Golachipa upazila after Thursday night.

Accordign to sources constable Amirul islam Parvez murder case's prime accused Apon Ahmed was identified from CCTV footage. Dhaka district police filed a case against him for creating anarchy, sabotage and committing murder.

The 32-year-old constable Amirul Islam Pervez was killed during BNP's grand rally at Naya Paltan in Dhaka on October 28.

Golachipa Police Station's officer-in-charge (OC) Shanti Kumar Gayen confirmed the matter.

A joint team of Dhaka and Golachipa Police arrested the prime accused of police murder case Apon Ahmed conducted raid at Kalagachia under the upazila. 

He was later handed over to the Dhaka police, he added.
