Police arrested a man for allegedly gang raping a housewife and recording the act on a cell-phone video from Narayanganj’s Fatullah area.

The incident took place in Pagla Shantinibash area on Thursday (November 2) morning.

According to police, the arrestee Riaz, 20, first called the victim and informed that her husband met with a road accident, later, when the woman rushed to the spot she was gang raped.

However, on Thursday night the victim lodged a complaint against Riaz and his companions at Fatullah police station.

Later, on the same night police arrested Riaz.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fatulla Model Police Station Noore Azam Mia confirmed the matter to Banglanews today (November 3).

A case has been filed in this regard, said OC, adding one accused in the case has been arrested. 

Besides, efforts are being made to arrest the rest of the accused, he added.
