At least seven people were killed after a bus hits a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Hathazari area of Chattogram on Tuesday (November 5).

The accident took place near Charia Istema Maidan around 12 pm. 

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Mohammad Shahjahan, senior officer at Hathazari Fire Service Station confirmed the matter. 

“After receiving the accident information in Hathazari, we went to the spot and recovered the bodies of seven people,” he said.  

The process of recovering the bodies and sending them to the morgue is underway, he added. 

He also said that the injured were sent to Chamek Hospital.
