Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, State Minister of Shipping said Matarbari sea port will unveil a new prospect for Bangladesh.

He came up with the remark during Matarbari deep sea port visit on Thursday (November 9).

The minister said as Matarbari deep sea port is now visible, Prime Minister will soon inaugurate and lay the foundation of the first terminal.

“This sea port will not only strengthen our economy also reduce lightening from Singapore-Colombo, cost will decline, and operations among Chattogram, Mongla and Payra ports will increase,” he said”

On Saturday (November 11), PM will inaugurate the channel of Matarbari seaport and lay the foundation of the first terminal.

The port chairman said that all preparations have been completed in Matarbari on the occasion of the Prime Minister's visit.
