Two employees of Palli Bidyut Samity were electrocuted at Kamanna village in Bogra union under Shailkupa upazila of the district today (November 10).

The deceased were identified as Asad Ali, 37, resident of Rajbari district and Enamul Hossain, 35, resident of Manikganj district. 

They were working as meter readers of Hatfazilpur sub zonal office of Palli Bidyut Samity under Shailkupa upazila of the district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shailkupa Police Station Thakur Das Mondal confirmed the matter.

Police recovered the dead bodies from the spot, the OC said.

According to the local sources said they came in contact with a live electric wire when they were drying blankets at the rented house of the village around 9am this morning.

They died on the spot, said Kamruzzaman, assistant general manager of Hatfazilpur sub zonal office of Palli Bidyut Samity.
