Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four people including Feni district unit Juba Dal president Zakir Hossain in a case filed over a police constable killing during BNP’s rally on October 28 in the capital.

Other arrestees are – Gazi Manik, Nasir Uddin, and Delwar Hossain Babul. 

A RAB 7 official who arrested them on Sunday (November 12) said the leader was arrested from Muhammad Ali Bazar area of Feni early in the morning.

RAB-7 Feni Camp Captain Squadon Leader Sadikur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said a total of 13 cases against the Juba Dal leader Zakir in Feni and Khagrachari districts on charges of sabotage and attempted to murder.

RAB also arrested three others, including Feni Juba Dal general secretary Nasir Uddin Khandaker, and handed them over to the Feni Model police station, he said.

Meanwhile, Juba Dal central committee president Sultan Salahuddin Tuku and general secretary (Acting) Shafiqul Islam Milton have condemned the arrests.
