A total of 46 Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP) from 34 BCS Police cadres have been promoted to Additional Superintendent of Police.

Deputy Secretary of the Home Ministry, Sirajam Munira, issued the notification in this regard today (November 12).

Earlier on 31 May 2023, the government promoted a total of 43 superintendents of police, posted at different places of Bangladesh, to the rank of additional deputy inspectors general of police.

The government promoted 152 superintendents of police (SPs) to the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (Addl-DIG) in the last two days, official sources said today.

Another wave of promotions came when 152 superintendents of police (SP) were given the position of additional deputy inspector general (DIG) on 7 November 2023.
