A CNG-run auto-rickshaw were burnt when miscreants hurled a cocktail on the vehicle on Kazi Alauddin Road in the capital on Sunday (November 19) morning. 

The incident took place around 8:30am, according to the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

Fire Service and Civil Defence media cell officer-in-charge Mohammad Shahjahan Shikder confirmed the matter. 

A group of miscreants threw one or more cocktails targeting the auto-rickshaw in front of One Star Hotel, Shahjahan Shikder said.

The fire fighters soon extinguished the blaze, he added.

However, no casualty has been reported.
