Election Commissioner Rashida Sultana on Friday (November 24) said that the 12th National Assembly elections will be held due time and there is no chances of postponed.

She made the remark while talking to reporters after the preparatory meeting of the four districts of Rangpur division this afternoon.

EC Rashida said, “We have no time to see who is enforcing blockade and hartal. The strikes or other political disturbances cannot disrupt the polling environment.”

She assured that the field for election will remain prepared for the election in the upcoming days as well.

In response to a question whether there is any possibility of postponing the election, she said: “Why should it be postponed? There is no chance of postponed”

“Any malpractices such as preventing voters from coming to polling stations will be strictly suppressed,” she added.
