DHAKA: Deputy Speaker of the ninth parliament Shawkat Ali on Saturday sent a legal notice to Sushashoner Jonno Nagorik (Sujan) Secretary Dr Badiul Alam Majumder for providing defamatory information.

Deputy Speaker’s lawyer Advocate Shyamol Kumar Roy issued the legal notice for providing derogatory information against Shawkat Ali to the media.

The notice said that ‘Sujan’, a platform of civil society people working for good governance, in a press conference, disclosed some defamatory information against the deputy speaker and later which was published in several newspapers.
