DHAKA: Jatiya Party (JP) Chairman HM Ershad attended the oath-taking ceremony of the new cabinet on Sunday afternoon.

A total of 48 members took oath as ministers, state ministers and deputy ministers, in the much-talked-about oath taking ceremony.

Ershad for the first time came out of the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on Saturday and took oath as a member of the 10th parliament apparently ending his month-long drama just a day before the formation of the new government.

On December 3, HM Ershad declared to boycott the 10th national polls. After a spell of drama, he was elected as a lawmaker in January 5 polls and took oath as a member of the 10th parliament on January 11.
