The interim government led by Dr Muhammad Yunus is likely to take oath at Bangabhaban on Thursday night, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman has said.
Although the size of the government has not been finalized yet, some 15 individuals may take oath as the advisers of the interim government, he said during a press conference at the Army Headquarters this afternoon.
General Waker-Uz-Zaman also said that the armed forces would provide all necessary support to Dr Muhammad Yunus, the head of the interim government.
"Dr Yunus will return to the country tomorrow. I will receive him at the airport. We expect the oath-taking ceremony of the interim government to take place 8pm tomorrow," General Waker-Uz-Zaman.
Replying about the law and order situation in the country, he said that the situation has improved and everything will be normal soon.
