Chief Adviser to the Interim government Prof Muhammad Yunus on Friday (August 16) made a phone call to the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During conversation Prof Yunus assured that his government would prioritise the protection, safety, and security of Hindus and all minority groups in Bangladesh.
They also discussed issues of mutual interest.
Modi emphasised India's commitment to support the people of Bangladesh through various development initiatives, according to the Indian Prime Minister’s Office.
The Prime Minister of India announced regarding the call through a post on his X (formerly Twitter) ID on Friday (August 16).
