Three senior police officers including one Additional Inspector General of Police (Addl IGP), were sent on retirement today (August 27).

The officials are Krishna Pada Roy, Additional IGP of Police Headquarters, Md Mozammel Haque, Police Commissioner (Deputy Inspector General) of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) and its Additional Commissioner Sardar Rakibul Islam.

The Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs issued three separate gazette notifications in this regard. Senior Secretary Dr Mohammad Abdul Momen signed the notifications.

According to the notifications, they have been sent on retirement from government service in the public interest as per the provisions of section 45 of the Public Service Act, 2018.

They will be entitled to get all fringes of retirement benefits as per rules, it added.
