NARAYANGANJ: Two people were killed in two different road accidents in the district on Tuesday.

One of the deceased was identified as Kamala Begum, 50, wife of Hajrat Ali and resident of Araihazar upazila of the district and the identity of the other one aged around 50, could not be known immediately.

The Sub-Inspector of Fatulla Thana Bashar said that a person was killed as a passenger bus rammed into him while he was crossing road in Masdair area of Fatulla around 10:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police held the bus driver and seized the bus in this connection.

In another place, a woman was killed while she was crossing the road of Kachpur highway at 10:30am, leaving her dead on the spot.

The body was sent to Narayanganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Siddhirganj Thana Assistant Sub-Inspector Morshed confirmed the matter to banglanews.
