Ex-MP Rashiduzzaman Dudu passes away

KUSHTIA: Kushtia-3 Member of Parliament in the ninth parliament Khandaker Rashiduzzaman Dudu passed away at his Baridhara residence in the capital on Wednesday morning.

He was 73.

The eminent business leader-organizer breathed his last at 7:00am after suffering from many age-related diseases.

Kushtia district Awami League publicity secretary engineer Farukuzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Rashiduzzaman Dudu was president of the district unit of Awami league.

He also was president of district Juba League for long and vice-president of Kushtia government college Chhatra Sangshad.

The former lawmaker was also an eminent businessman and leader of the business community.

He served in the Rupali Bank as chairman for five years and vice-president of Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI, the apex body of businessmen of the country.

He served Kushtia Chamber of Commerce as president for several terms.
