LAMA, BANDARBAN: A man and his wife were shot dead by miscreants in Tong Khal area under Lama Upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Thranci Tripura, 45 and his wife Haspati Tripurani, 30.

Gazlia Union Parisad Chairman Bathoyaiching Marma told banglanews, “The victims went to their paddy field at around 8:00am. Then some miscreants, riding on motorbike, rushed to the spot and opened fire aiming the victims and fled the scene, leaving them dead on the spot.”

Later, noticing the bodies lying on pool of blood, locals informed police.

Lama Thana Officer-in-Charge Shah Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
