BRAHMANBARIA: A high official of Bakhrabad gas field was ran over by a private car in Pirbari area under Sadar Upazila of the district on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Yakub Ali Khan, 55, Bakhrabad gas field manager.

Brahmanbaria Traffic Police Sergeant Bayejid told banglanews that a private car rammed him when he came out of his residence for morning walk, leaving him injured critically.

Later, he died on the way of Dhaka Medical College Hospital around 9:30am.

Police seized the car but the driver fled the scene, the police sergeant added.
