BD national beaten dead by Indians

LALMONIRHAT: A Bangladeshi national was beaten to death near to Patgram border of the district early Thursday.

The victim was identified as Aminul Islam, 33, a cattle trader, son of Abdul Latif of Burimari union of Sadar upazila of the district.

Local sources said that Aminul was beaten mercilessly by Indian nationals in the border area while he, along with cattle, was returning from India around 2:00am, leaving him dead on the spot.

On information, members of Border Security Force (BSF) of India rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.

On the other hand, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB-15) of Burimari Company Sadar has sent a letter to BSF asking for a flag meeting in this regard.

The commander of BGB Lalmonirhat-15, lieutenant Colonel Safiul Alam Khan Safir, confirmed the matter to banglanews.
