BAGERHAT: A person was killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident in Fatehpur area under Kachua Upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Elias Sheikh, 35.

Bagerhat Thana Officer-in-Charge Abu Zihad told banglanews, “A Pirojpur-bound bus of Diganta Paribahan plunged into a roadside ditch in the area at around 8:00am, leaving the passenger dead on the spot and 20 others injured.”

The injured were sent to various local hospitals.
