RAJSHAHI: The Prime Minister, Sheikh Hasina, also ruling Awami League president, is set to address rally in the district on Saturday afternoon.

The rally will be held around 4:30pm in Sardah Pilot High School ground.

Before addressing the rally, the premier also will inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of several developmental projects at the venue.

The projects include---- Bagha 10 MVA sub-power station, architecture building of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, Natore Palli Bidyut Samity, 100-bed female hostel at Rajshahi Government College, Rajshahi (north) Fire Service and Civil Defense Station, Physical facilities extension project at Engineering and Survey Institute, Bagha High School; Durgapur Pilot High School, Muktijoddha complexes at Poba, Puthia and Mohonpur, Durgapur Fire Service and Civil Defense Station.

Earlier in the morning, a helicopter carrying the Prime Minister landed at the Sardah Police Academy at about 10:30 am where she was given salute by House Guards.

The premier, then, received guard of honour by provisional Assistant Superintendents of Police.

Later, she distributed crests among them and addressed the gathering.
