JESSORE: Two people were found dead on the rail track in Rupdia and Nabharan areas under Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Rinku, 30, resident of Jhum Jhum Pur area and Jabeda Khatun, 90, resident of Nabharan railway slum.

Local sources said, noticing the body of man in the area around 11:00am, they informed police. Later, police rushed to the places and recovered the body.

On the other hand, Jabeda Khatun was crushed under the wheels of Benapole-bound commuter train near to Navaron rail slum.

Officer-in-Charge Jessore Railway Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Sekender confirmed the matter to banglanews.
