FENI: A total of 800 tolas of gold were looted from a jewelry shop at Sadar upazila of the district on Saturday evening.

The incident took place at Abedin Jewelry on Khaja Ahmed road of the district town near the Feni Press Club around 6:30pm.

Sources said a group of masked robbers entered the ornament shop and blasted some 25/30 cocktails for creating panic among the traders and commoners and looted the gold worth Tk four crore.

On information, police and RAB personnel rushed in but the looters managed to flee the scene.
