MEHERPUR: Two security guards of a brick kiln were slaughtered by miscreants at Mohajanpur village under Mujibnagar Upazilla of the district early Monday.

The victims were identified as Salim and Sabu. Details of them could not be known immediately.

Sources said, a terror syndicate was allegedly demanding extortion from Kazal, the owner of Kazal Brick Kiln, for some days. Even the terror group threatened the workers of the kiln not to work until their demand is met.

At last, these miscreants slaughtered two staffs named Salim and Sabu, the sources added.

Mojibnagar thana officer-in-charge Aslam Khan told banglanews, the deceased also involved criminal activities. They were accused in several cases.”

Earlier, an intelligence agency official told banglanews that the victims were workers of the brick filed.
