SAVAR: A motorcyclist was killed and another injured in a road accident in Hemayetpur bus stand area under Savar upazila, on the outskirt of Dhaka, on Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mujibar Rahman alias Azibur, 30, Son of Abdul Hye and hailed from Kurigram district.

Witnesses said that a motorcycle hit a road island as the biker lost control over the steering in the area. However, the motorcyclists fell on the road and a rashly driven passenger bus rammed into one of them around 9:30am, leaving him injured critically.

However, the injured was rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Sub-Inspector of Savar Model Thana Ashish Kumar Sanal confirmed the matter to banglanews.
