DHAKA: The government on Monday fused Post and Telecommunications and Ministry of Information and Communication Technology into one.

The new ministry was named as Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology.

In a press note issued on Monday, the government said, “According to SRO no.24 act/2014- Rules of Business, 1996, rule 3, the Prime Minister fused the ministries into one.”

Besides, the Prime Minister formed two separate divisions under the newly formed ministry: Posts and Telecommunications Division and Information and Communication Technology Division.
