DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep shock at the death of two army and four Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) men in mortar shell explosion at Ghatail Cantonment in Tangail.

PM’s assistant press secretary Noor Elahi Mina confirmed the matter to banglanews.

In the condolence message, the premier prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.

Sheikh Hasina also directed authorities concerned to provide better treatment to the injured.

On Wednesday, at least six Bangladesh Army and Border Guard Bangladesh personnel were killed and 12 others injured in the explosion.
