DHAKA: Pahela Falgun, the first day of spring was celebrated Thursday amid gala event and festivity mood across the country.       

At the very beginning of the day, thousands of people along with several cultural groups joined in a colorful cultural programme at Bakultola at the Institute of Fine Arts Faculty of Dhaka University campus to welcome the day, traditionally known as Bashanta Utsab.        
 
The crowd became larger with the songs of the nature when the sun of spring peeped in the sky. The jubilant young generation gathered with the traditional dresses and ornate jewellery to celebrate the daylong cultural program marking festival of Pahela Falgun.   

The area got a cheerful environment with the song, dance and recital praising of Bashanta. Numerous people and artists’ groups also gathered in city’s Rabindra Sarobar and Osmani Udyan.

The touch of spring colored the nature with its elegance as well. The shiny weather of the season, colorful flowers, birds’ songs are saying a bye to foggy, gloomy and dull winter. The whole nature gets a new look in this season.

Spring is called the king of season in Bangladesh as it is the deemed as the most beautiful season. Everyone feels young with the supernatural touch of the spring.

However, the carnival is not only bound in wearing yellow sari, panjabi and a garland of flowers, but also the nature altered into shiny colorful environment rather the cold of winter.
