JHENAIDAH: The Election Commission has postponed voting in two centers of Shailokupa upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

Police and witnesses said that centering the Upazila election, supporters of BNP and Awami League locked into clash at around 9:00am, leaving 20 people injured.

Following the clash, voting in the two centers--- Mathurapur government primary school and Dhawra vote center --declared postponed.

Meanwhile, amongst the injured, seven critically injured were sent to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital and Kaliganj Upazila health complex.

Shailokupa Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Prince confirmed the matter.
