DHAKA: Executive Director of rights organization ‘Ain o Salish Kendra’ Advocate Sultana Kamal on Saturday said “militancy is a game of international politics”.
She came up with the observation while addressing a discussion on ‘Threats of Militancy: Bangladesh Perspective’ organized by Bangladesh Center for Peace and Development.
Sultana Kamal said that the militant groups are becoming active in the country due to ill manner of political practice.
She added: “These groups are being dangerous day by day with the relish of several politicians.”
Moreover, she also criticized the incidents of vandalizing Shaheed Minar across the country.
Editor of the Daily Samakal Golam Sarwar, Editor of Daily Bhorer Kagoj Shyamal Dutta, journalist Abed Khan, Editor of Daily Bangladesh Protidin Naem Nizam, Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Tania Ameer and Acting Chairman of Ghatak-Dalal Nirmul Committee Shahriar Kabir also spoke.
