DINAJPUR: Two people including a school girl were killed and 30 others injured in a road accident in Suzalpur village under Birganj Upazila of the district on Sunday morning.

The deceased were identified as Soma Rani Roy, 14 and her mother Malati Rani Roy, 65.

Sources said that a bus plunged into a ditch as its driver lost control over the steering in the area around 9:30am, leaving two passengers dead on the spot and 30 more injured.

Confirming the matter, Birganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Arman Hossain told banglanews, “The injured were sent to Birganj Upazila Health Complex”.
