Detectives investigating on ÔÇÿleaflets containing police demandsÔÇÖ

DHAKA: Detective teams of police started to investigate on distributed leaflets from police headquarters, containing various demands mostly of entry level policemen.

A government source said police are trying to collect the copies of the leaflet and identify the distributors.

Hundreds of leaflets containing 31-point demand were distributed among policemen secretly more than a week ago. Most of the clauses of the leaflets distributed among policemen contained various demands mostly of Constable - ranks. Detective police source said that they did not find any police involved with the issue.

A detective officer on condition of anonymity said, “We are investigating whether masterminds are trying to create dissatisfaction in a disciplined force by spreading rumors.”

The detective branch is keeping an eye on several suspects already.

The police headquarter officers are not acknowledging any leaflet distribution in the police compounds. Inspector General of police Nur Mohammad was contacted on Tuesday night but he did not make any comment.
