The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast rain or thundershowers accompanied by lightning and temporary gusty winds in several parts of the country over the next 24 hours beginning Saturday (May 24) morning.
According to the latest bulletin, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions are likely to experience scattered rain or thundershowers, while isolated showers may occur in parts of Rangpur and Rajshahi divisions.
The BMD said day and night temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged across the country.
On Friday, the highest temperature was recorded at 35.0°C in Mongla, Khulna division, while the lowest was 23.2°C in Saidpur, Rangpur division.
Sandwip in Chattogram recorded the highest rainfall in the last 24 hours, with 53 millimetres logged until 6am on Saturday.
In Dhaka, sunset is expected at 6:39 pm today, and sunrise at 5:12 am on Sunday, the BMD added.
