A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Dubai made an emergency return to Chattogram’s Shah Amanat International Airport shortly after takeoff due to a technical fault.
Flight BG-148, carrying 287 passengers, initially landed in Chattogram at 7:15 am on Thursday (July 24). It departed for Dhaka at 8:37 am but was forced to turn back, landing safely at 8:58 am.
Engineer Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, the airport’s public relations officer, confirmed the incident.
The aircraft is currently stationed at Bay No. 8 and all passengers are reported to be safe, he said.
