The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet tomorrow to determine the beginning of the Arabic month of Safar 1447 Hijri after reviewing moon sighting reports.

Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain will chair the meeting at 7pm at the Islamic Foundation Conference Room, Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, according to an official handout.

Citizens are requested to report any sighting of the new moon by calling 02-223381725, 02-41050912, 02-41050916, or 02-41050917, or by faxing to 02-223383397 or 02-9555951. Information can also be shared with local deputy commissioners or upazila nirbahi officers (UNOs).
