In the aftermath of the Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crash at Milestone School and College in Dhaka’s Uttara, a medical team from Wuhan Third Hospital in China has continued providing support at the Bangladesh Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery.

The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka reported on Saturday (July 26) that the team of Chinese doctors and nurses is advising Bangladeshi medical personnel on wound infection prevention and standard care procedures for the injured.

Their tasks include examining patients, cleaning wounds, changing dressings, assisting with vascular access, and providing guidance for surgeries.

The Chinese medical team has also consulted with Bangladeshi doctors as well as medical professionals from Singapore and India.

The Chinese side reaffirmed its commitment to offering full support to Bangladesh in the treatment of those injured in the crash.

At the request of Bangladesh’s interim government, the five-member emergency medical team—comprising burn specialists and nurses—arrived in Dhaka on July 24.

On Monday, a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed on the campus of Milestone School and College in Uttara, prompting the arrival of medical teams from India, China, and Singapore to assist with treatment.
