As part of the ongoing nationwide crackdown, law enforcement agencies arrested 1,486 crime suspects in the last 24 hours, according to a press release issued by the Police Headquarters.

Of those detained, 988 individuals were arrested in connection with previous cases and outstanding warrants. The remaining 498 were held on various fresh charges.

During the operation, police also seized two locally made one-shooter guns, seven rounds of cartridges, and special components used in crude bombs.
