Four people were killed in a road accident after two motorcycles and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw collided in the Ramapur area of Brahmanbaria’s Bijoynagar upazila on Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway when a Brahmanbaria-bound motorcycle collided head-on with another motorcycle heading toward Madhabpur, along with a CNG auto-rickshaw, said Jahangir Alam, Officer-in-Charge of the Sarail Khatihata Highway Police Station.
All four victims were motorcyclists and died at the scene. Their identities have not yet been confirmed, the OC said, adding that efforts are underway to identify them.
The bodies have been sent to Brahmanbaria District Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he said.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the accident, the official added.
