Shafiqul Islam made DB chief

Additional Police Commissioner Md Shafiqul Islam has been appointed as the new chief of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The appointment was made on Wednesday (August 27) through an order signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali.

Md Shafiqul Islam is an officer of the 18th BCS batch. He previously served as DIG of the Highway Police.
